Lily Lori's Layouts

Scrapbooking, Card Making, and Stamping Fun

La Belle Vie

La Belle Vie uses dramatic, rich colors which makes beautiful layouts (lo) and tasteful cards or valentines.  You are going to love working with  this paper.  I used pictures from my grandma and grandpa’s 50th Wedding Anniversary and everyone that sees them loves them.   I bought the Workshop on the Go (wotg) (item G1048)  to get the paper packet with the most paper in it, the stamp, and the sparkles Assortment (item Z1326), and the Glamour Glitter Alphabet (item Z1775).

  • The first two-page layout follows the instructions included in theDSC_0286 wotg.  I changed the flourishes a little bit but, you need to add your personal touches to your layouts too.  The lettering is done with the Glamour Glitter Alphabet.  The fancy shapes and envelope were cut using the Cricut Artiste Collection (item Z1790) for all the pages.    If you don’t have a Cricut or a Cartridge let me know and I will be glad to cut them for you. lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
  • The second two-page layout is very similar to the second set of layouts in theM wotg.  I changed the square size to 3″ x 3″.  You can easily use 3″ x 6″ pictures if you want to.  I inserted a small envelope with a tag for a heading on the first page.  I also changed the embellishments to suit my layouts more.  I added several journal boxes so future readers would know who the people are and what they are doing.

  • The last two pages were cobbled together using scraps.  So if you purchase theF wotg you will have enough for all of these los plus some extra paper.  I used plain white paper for a base on both pages.  The Plum strip is 1 1/2″ x 12″.  The next strip is the Plum Zip Strip.  The beige strip is 4″ x 12″.  The right side of the page from the top to the bottom is as follows: 4 1/2″ x 6″ rectangle of beige floral, 1 1/2″ x 6″ Plum rectangle, a 4″ x 6″ photo and 2″ x 6″ Pink rectangle.  The “Life is Beautiful” sticker was used for a heading.   Mr, & Mrs. was cut on the Cricut using 2″ letters.  A 6″ piece of Zip strip was used to accent the Plum Strip.  I cut out the butterfly sticker, added pink sparkles to the wings, waxy flax antennae and legs.  I “pop dotted” this embellishment on to give it some dimension.  The buttons came from the Boutique Assortment.  The last page directions are a Plum Zip Strip at the top of the page.  The next strip is 1 1/2″ x 12″ Plum strip.  The bottom half of the page begins with a 4″ x 6″ picture.  It is followed by a 2″ x 6″ Pink strip and the same size Beige strip.  The page is finished with another 4″ x 6″ picture.  The Plum strip is accented with a Black Zip Strip.  Once again I cut out the butterfly, accented it with pink sparkles and waxy flax antennae so I could “pop dot” it on the page.  The black silhouette F wedding couple is cut 4″ tall using the Cricut.  I taped a small piece of white scrap behind the groom so he could have a white shirt.  The bridal bouquet was made by sticking pearls together in a circle.

I hope you have as much fun creating these layouts as I did.  Pictures like these bring back many happy memories.  The thing I remember the most was there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  We were all laughing so hard we couldn’t keep it together.  This is a reason why I love to scrap so much.  If these pictures were in a box I wouldn’t have so much fun reliving these memories.  These layouts didn’t photograph very well so if I get better pictures I will update these photos.
