Lily Lori's Layouts

Scrapbooking, Card Making, and Stamping Fun

Scholastic Workshop

The Scholastic Workshop on the Go (WOTG)  is an extra in the Autumn/Winter campaign.  What I mean by “extra” is I will make layouts (lo) for each wotg but as part of our group you can make them, replace a paper packet you don’t care for or not make them at all.  These lo-s are your choice.  The colors featured in this workshop are Cocoa, Outdoor Denim, plus two of the new colors Ruby and Champagne.  I used Cocoa ink for coloring the edges on all the papers to give them a softer look.   The WOTG includes the new Canvas Shapes and Square Brads.  I didn’t add any cardstock to complete this workshop but I substituted the new Chalkboard Shapes and used the Round Gold Studs rather than the Square Studs provided with the workshop.  I had all of the items so there was no added cost for me.  I did purchase the Memo Assortment because I thought it would work great for adding dates and journal entries for this project.  I used the new Canvas Letters for some of the titles.  Just a word of warning, if you color the letters they take forever to dry.  I don’t think I will add color to them in the future.  I will just use them in their original color.

The first page two page layouts (lo) are on Outdoor Denim paper.  I didn’t edge around the Outdoor Denim backgrounds but I edged everything else with Cocoa ink.  I added the Canvas Letters on the top to add a title line.  Otherwise everything looks pretty much the same as the Idea Book.  I wanted to keep the trim on this lo all Ruby so I used the Ruby Zip Strip instead of the Notebook Zip Strip.

The second page is also backed in Outdoor Denim.  Like the first page the items on the page are edged in Cocoa ink.  The second half of the title is on this page.  The gold studs completed both pages.

The second two-page lo is in the WOTG.  I used the grey Zip Strip rather than stamp the numbers on paper.  I haven’t added the pennant title or the journal block yet.  I haven’t found any pictures for these lo-s so I will add them based on my pictures.

The second page for this set is also right out of the WOTG.

The last 2-page layout is on Colonial White paper.  Starting from the bottom the first piece of book paper is 1″.  The next row is made using 3″ x 3″ squares of paper.  Use could also use some 3 x 3 pictures on this row.  On the last two blocks I added the oval piece of Blackboard paper with two brads used for embellishment.  Next is 1/2″ strip of book paper followed by the Notebook Zip Strip.

The second page of this set is layered to match the first page.  The tag shaped Blackboard paper is used after the pictures and is gussied up with a big Gold Brad.
